Just Keep Walking

Let us not become weary in doing good,
for at the proper time we will reap a harvest
if we do not give up.

Galatians 6: 9 (NIV)

March is quickly drawing to a close.  In fact, next week Monday is the last day of March (Relentless, why did you have to remind me? *groan*)  Well, why's that important? Because it officially marks the end of the first quarter of the year.

Yes, as soon as March ends, the first three months of the year are gone.

If you're like me, you're evaluating your decisions this year.

What have I done with the past three months?

And you're also considering what you'll do differently next month, next quarter, next week to meet your goals.

What can I change to get different results?

It's possible to look back and feel an overwhelming sense of disappointment.  Maybe the things you hoped (and prayed for) have not yet come to pass.  You might feel like your prayers are not being answered or that God has forgotten you.  Hey, even Jesus felt that way too.  Remember His journey to the Cross?

My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?

But God had not abandoned Him.  The same God has not abandoned you.

You see, giving up is a choice, just like not giving up is also a choice.  As long as what you're trusting God for, what you're expecting from God, what you're doing is good, the Bible promises that you will reap a harvest at the proper time.

So, if you feel like crying, screaming, do it.  Let it out.

But after that, wipe your tears, pick yourself up and keep going.  Keep walking.

Life is a battle and only those who fight till the end will enjoy victory.

Dear Reader, don't give up.  Just keep walking.  Jesus is walking with you.

P.S. If this encouraged you, lifted your spirit, share it with others.
